Released on March 8th by a Canadian based artist of Gotye ‘Somebody’ remix fame, Miami Nights 1984’s newest album, “Turbulence” is epically cool. These are tracks to pop a white collar to.

While not the first in the 80s revival arena, MN1984 is one of the sleekest. His tracks are clean, articulate and thematic. “Streets on Fire” melts away my office-cube-dwelling reality and cultivates a garden of purpose and intensity. Fuck that TPS report, it’s time to do some real shit.

“Turbulence” is background music for winning. As an album listening experience, beware of truncation on “Theme” and “The End” that leaves you a little hungry. But maybe that’s okay. You weren’t going to sit there and finish your french toast with those assholes anyway. You’ve got art to make.
